My family likes simple and easy dinners and this recipe is just that! It is also a really adaptable dish. This dish is also pretty affordable.
I make recipe for for 2 but it can be modified for smaller or larger families.
This is a chicken with bell pepper dinner served with your preference of rice or pasta. To be honest i use either boxed pasta or instant rice. ( my favorite rice to use is minute rice)
What you will need:
Large frying pan
large or medium sauce pan ( for pasta or rice)
Food items:
3 large bell peppers
olive oil
garlic
onion
3 boneless skinless chicken breast
How to:
Take out your frying pan and add about 3 tbsp of olive oil to the bottom of the pan. Turn on the burner and allow the pan to get hot. *if making pasta you should begin boiling your water during this step*
Cut your peppers into slices or cubes
Add the peppers into the pan and let them begin to cook, while the peppers are cooking, cut your chicken in to small cubes.
4. Add the chicken and begin to stir, also add garlic powder, onion powder and salt and pepper. (if you like onions and garlic you can use fresh onions and garlic bu my family does not like the onions are garlic directly in their dish.) * if pairing with instant rice, begin your rice here*
5. Stir every few minutes making sure the chicken is cooked through
6. Pour the chicken and peppers directly over the pasta and stir or plate your rice and sppon several spoonfuls of the chicken a peppers right over the rice, making sure to add a drizzle of the sauce.
