Berry Sangria

Inside this blog post you'll find a refreshing and easy to create recipe for berry sangria.

The thing I like most about sangria is you can really experiment with it. This recipe is made with things that I had on hand in the kitchen.

Berry Sangria

1 bottle (750ML)- Apothic Dark - Red Wine blend

2 cans (16 Oz) - Lemon Lime Soda - I used Diet Sierra Mist

1 Cup of blueberries

4 tablespoons of Cherry Juice

First, I added the cup of blueberries to the bottom of the pitcher. Then, I poured my whole bottle of Apothic Dark in the pitcher followed by the two cans of diet sierra mist. You can use any lemon lime soda. I just prefer diet soda and its what i had in the house. Then, I added 4 tablespoons of cherry juice from a jar of maraschino cherries. If you don't like or have maraschino cherries grenadine syrup would be a good replacement. Remember to stir and taste and be creative!

I tried to keep this recipe really simple but you could also add different berries like strawberries and blackberries. Also, I didn't add any liquor to this recipe but if you wanted to I think a rum would be great in this recipe.
